DefendU / Shop
Shop terms
1. Seller
2. Definitions and scope
- Customer — a natural person, legal person or organisational unit placing an order.
- Consumer — a natural person buying for purposes not directly related to their business or profession. Consumer provisions also apply to a sole trader when the purchase is not of a professional nature for them (Art. 38a of the Polish Consumer Rights Act).
- These terms cover the sale of products and vouchers in the shop. Course sign-ups are handled separately and are not part of shop sales.
- To use the shop you need an up-to-date browser with JavaScript enabled and an active email address. Unlawful content is prohibited.
3. Products and prices
- The description, photos, price and main features of each product are on its product page.
- Prices are in Polish złoty (PLN) and are final prices. The seller is exempt from VAT (Art. 113(1) of the Polish VAT Act). The cost of delivery and any cash-on-delivery fee is shown at checkout before you place the order, in the “Total” summary.
- Knives and self-defence accessories are sold to adults only — before purchase the Customer confirms that they are 18 or over. The Customer is responsible for owning and using them lawfully.
4. Placing an order
- Add products to the basket or click “Buy now”.
- At checkout, choose delivery and enter your contact details and address (or pickup point).

Vouchers are sent as a PDF by email, usually within 1 working day of the payment being credited.
7. Withdrawal from the contract (14-day return)
A Consumer may withdraw from the contract without giving a reason within 14 days. The period runs from the day the Consumer (or a person they designate, other than the carrier) takes possession of the product, and for vouchers — from the day the contract is concluded.
- It is enough to send a statement before the deadline, e.g. by email to igordefendu@gmail.com or by post — you may use the model form below, but this is not mandatory.
- The product must be sent back to ul. Hugona Kołłątaja 106, 61-421 Poznań, Poland within 14 days of withdrawal. The Consumer bears the direct cost of returning it.
- We refund all payments, including the cost of the cheapest delivery offered, within 14 days of receiving the statement, using the same payment method the Consumer used (unless they agree to another). We may withhold the refund until we receive the product or proof that it has been sent back.
- The Consumer is liable for any reduction in the product's value resulting from use beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.
- The right of withdrawal does not apply, among others, to products made to individual order (e.g. personalised) or when a voucher has already been fully used for a course that has taken place.
